When Kaiwan and Reena described their wedding to us, we knew we wanted to be a part of it. The blending of Persian and Indian customs and traditions provided the backdrop for a beautiful ceremony and an amazing overall day. The Chears are a fun loving couple and we really could have spent multiple days with them. They are the best.

Sometimes a couple just makes sense. You meet them individually and then see them together and it all clicks. Diego and Erin are a couple like that. We had so much fun at their late February Palm Event Center wedding. From the emotional ceremony to the party atmosphere of the reception, we really couldn’t have asked for a better day. Heck, even the weather cooperated.

Let’s start with the black wedding dress. When Jennie was a little girl she wasn’t sure if she would end up getting married. She didn’t know if it was for her. However, she did know that if she did end up getting married she wanted to wear a black wedding dress. Jordan and Jennie’s wedding day was different in the best way possible. From their intimate wedding ceremony to the steakhouse reception, the Ribera’s gathering of close friends and family is a celebration we will always remember. Seriously. It was the best.

Mike and Tori’s San Francisco wedding was the perfect way to kick off our 2017 season. It’s hard to beat the elegance of an evening wedding at City Hall. The day begin at the amazing Fairmont Hotel (we love that place) and ended with a beautiful gathering of family and friends in the city’s civic center. Seriously. So dang pretty. We loved being a part of the Aranda’s SF celebration and we think you’ll love their film.

The only thing more unpredictable than the weather is love. Luckily for the Evans, their love was solid and apparent on an unseasonably stormy September day in Glen Allen. At one point during the ceremony, things got so windy that all the couple could do was take a moment and have a good laugh (along with their audience). Amidst the blowing leaves and occasional drizzle, Justin and Jessica had a lovely wedding in the beautiful Napa Valley. We have filmed at many wineries, but BR Cohn definitely stands out among the rest. The place is beautiful. We’re certain that the Evans’ love will remain consistent, despite life’s many unpredictable elements.

When you picture the 4th of July, you probably envision sparklers, fireworks, and fun with your friends and family. Well picture all of those things wrapped into a lovely Napa wedding at Brix Restaurant on Independence Day, 2015. The Francesconi’s wedding was just plane fun. The weather was perfect and the setting was hard to beat. Meghan asked that her wedding video not be “overly sappy.” She wanted a fun video. She asked, we delivered. Congrats to Meghan and Justin.

We purchased a DJI Inspire 1 this week and took it out for its first test flight yesterday. We have been using the DJI Phantom 2 and a GoPro Hero Black 3+ since May and it has become a staple part of our video projects. From weddings to non-profit videos, we always seem to find a way to sneak it in.

One of the reasons we purchased the Inspire was its ability to shoot 4K video and the seamless FPV integration with DJI’s iOS app. The iPhone (iPad Mini on its way) allows for sharp 1080p monitoring up to 2km, which is crazy. Our FPV setup on the Phantom 2 (P2) only allowed for a clear (non HD) picture at around 500ft.

The P2 and GoPro setup was nice, but having an all-in-one unit like the Inspire is a game-changer. I love the GoPro, but the image on the Inspire’s 4k camera, and the ability to modify the camera settings while it’s in the air, makes this unit about 10 times more useful for us.

We primarily use the drone for weddings and it produced some amazing images for our couples last year. Here are some highlights from 2014.

The Inspire is much larger and more aggressive than the P2, which means there’s going to be a bit of a learning curve. We took it out for a spin yesterday, but the rain cut things short. Here is a quick take of our first flight.

I can’t wait to master this amazing piece of technology. Connect with us on Twitter and Instagram and share your thoughts.

If you could choose the weather and picturesque backdrop for your wedding day, it would probably look something like the beautiful November day the Lynch’s were wed. Between the ceremony at St. Mary’s and the lovely Fall reception at Blackhawk Country Club, Chris and Tara’s wedding was near perfect. As an added bonus, having gelato and a live band at your wedding are the ideal way to keep your guests content. Shoutout to our friends at Lindsay Lauren Events for arranging the details for this great couple.
