When Kaiwan and Reena described their wedding to us, we knew we wanted to be a part of it. The blending of Persian and Indian customs and traditions provided the backdrop for a beautiful ceremony and an amazing overall day. The Chears are a fun loving couple and we really could have spent multiple days with them. They are the best.

Let’s start with the black wedding dress. When Jennie was a little girl she wasn’t sure if she would end up getting married. She didn’t know if it was for her. However, she did know that if she did end up getting married she wanted to wear a black wedding dress. Jordan and Jennie’s wedding day was different in the best way possible. From their intimate wedding ceremony to the steakhouse reception, the Ribera’s gathering of close friends and family is a celebration we will always remember. Seriously. It was the best.

Mike and Tori’s San Francisco wedding was the perfect way to kick off our 2017 season. It’s hard to beat the elegance of an evening wedding at City Hall. The day begin at the amazing Fairmont Hotel (we love that place) and ended with a beautiful gathering of family and friends in the city’s civic center. Seriously. So dang pretty. We loved being a part of the Aranda’s SF celebration and we think you’ll love their film.

Wedding Movie // The Murphys

There’s something pretty special about weddings in San Francisco. The city has a certain romance to it that makes it the perfect setting for a love story. Colleen and Keith tied the knot at the amazing Fairmont Hotel and the event was about as elegant and beautiful as you could imagine. Everything, from the Murphy’s first look overlooking the city skyline to the reception with a panoramic view of the bay, was about as perfect and fairytale-esque as a couple could hope for.

There are many essential elements to a wedding: a couple in love, guests, flowers, rings, etc. We realized that having a mariachi band at your wedding ceremony and reception should also be on everyone’s “wedding essentials” list. Ed and Felisa’s elegant July wedding featured a little bit of everything. From having the most lavish flower arrangements we have ever seen, to providing froyo as guests left the ceremony and mariachi music at every turn (did we mention how much we loved the mariachi?), the Garcia’s sure knew how to throw a party. Wine and Roses provided the setting and the Garcia’s brought the party. We are just glad we were invited!

Words like “nice” and “kind” get thrown around a lot when describing folks and it’s easy to see why; there are a lot of nice people in this world. That being said, I think I can honestly say that Adam and Sunee are two of the nicest people we’ve ever worked with. They just exude kindness. Adam is a former Video Production student of mine and we have spent bunch of time together shooting weddings over the years. I always wondered about the girl he would end up with, because she would have to be pretty special to get a dude like him and he found his perfect match in Sunee. With San Francisco’s Marin Headlands providing the backdrop, the Hillyer’s began the next chapter in the love story and we were lucky to be a part of it.

Andy and Betsy’s combined everything we love about a wedding: a beautiful setting (you can’t beat Monterey), fun vendors, a hilarious emcee, a crowded dance floor, and a couple that is madly in love with each other. Andy and Betsy were smiling from sunrise until sunset and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Nicklaus Club is among our favorite places to film and the A’Neals are easily among our favorite couples we have worked with. March 26 was the best.

It’s not often that we get to spend an entire 48 hours with a couple, but Corbin and Courtney’s wedding featured more love and fun than one could possibly pack into 24 hours. The weekend began with a cruise around the San Francisco Bay and ended in the heart of the city itself at the Fairmont Hotel. Corbin, a professional football player, and Courtney, a business owner and former professional soccer player, are some of the nicest people (let alone couples) we have ever met. From the Grace Cathedral to the Fairmont Hotel, the Louks’ wedding featured some of the most beautiful buildings (and people) the city has to offer. Honestly, we could have easily spent another 48 hours following Corbin and Courtney, but at a certain point I think it becomes stalking. And while there is a fine line between stalker and friend, we look forward to hanging out with Corbin and Courtney again soon. In the meantime, you’ll have to excuse us while we relive those incredible 48 hours through this video.

MUTEMATH

I am finally getting around to blogging a really fun shoot that we did at the end of 2015. I have listened to MUTEMATH for a decade and had the opportunity to film one of their San Francisco shows and produce a series of promo videos and a mini documentary for them. The band is about to kick-off their US tour. If they are coming to a town near you, you should go see them. If they aren’t coming to a town near you, you should go to a town that is not near you. Hope we can work with these awesome fellows again!
