Katie knew what she wanted her wedding dress to look like, from as far back as she can remember. The dress, and everything else about her may wedding to Scott, was pulled straight from her childhood storybook. She played the role of princess and Scott, her prince. The Garvey wedding was filled with joy, from the first look to the couple’s sparkler exit. We couldn’t have asked for a better story to help tell.

When Kaiwan and Reena described their wedding to us, we knew we wanted to be a part of it. The blending of Persian and Indian customs and traditions provided the backdrop for a beautiful ceremony and an amazing overall day. The Chears are a fun loving couple and we really could have spent multiple days with them. They are the best.

They say you should always save the best for last and, considering the Herron’s celebration was our final wedding of the year, we definitely finished 2016 on a high note. Chris and Clarissa’s beautiful fall Casa Real wedding was the perfect way to complete our wedding season. We had an amazing time with the Herron’s and we couldn’t have picked a better couple for our 30th, and final, wedding of 2016.

11 and 13. That’s how old Stephen and Megan were when they started “going out.” Fast forward 15 years and the couple tied the night at Ruby Hill among a lively gathering of family and friends. Many aspects of the day stood out, but the surprise dance Stephen and his roughly 100 groomsmen performed at the reception may have been the highlight. As Megan said in her vows, love is a struggle and it’s a matter of choosing who you are going to struggle with. I think the two of them chose wisely. We had a lot of fun with the Eguilos family.

We’ve been to a lot of weddings and we can honestly say that Billy and Laura’s dance party was among the best we have seen. Our first wedding of 2016 (1.22.16) set the bar pretty high. Laura, an event florist, and Billy, a debonaire gentlemen, threw a party that would make Gatsby proud. Here’s to hoping that the rest of 2016 is as beautiful and joyous as it began.

There’s something special about filming the final wedding of a given season. Areta and Joe’s Casa Real wedding was the 25th wedding of our season and we went out on a high note. I love fall weddings and the Flores nuptials were no exception. The shot of the couple standing among the red, orange, and green vineyards is probably one of my favorite’s from the season. It has been a great year of weddings and the Flores’ beautiful November ceremony is near the top of the list.
