We book a lot of our weddings over a year in advance, but I think Cindy and Dan win the 2017 award for earliest booking (that’s an award I just made up). We first chatted on the phone in January 2016 and I knew right away that the Fitzpatrick’s wedding was going to be a ton of fun. Cindy, as she puts it, is “never at a loss for words” and her and Dan’s big day was filled with laughs. We seriously love this couple and couldn’t be happier for the two of them. Also, they have a cute dog.

Andy and Betsy’s combined everything we love about a wedding: a beautiful setting (you can’t beat Monterey), fun vendors, a hilarious emcee, a crowded dance floor, and a couple that is madly in love with each other. Andy and Betsy were smiling from sunrise until sunset and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Nicklaus Club is among our favorite places to film and the A’Neals are easily among our favorite couples we have worked with. March 26 was the best.

Monterey from the Sky

We had the chance to go to Monterey twice this month and were able to film some pretty cool stuff. Check out this clip we shot at a world-famous golf course on Pebble Beach. We experimented (in post-production) with 2:35.1 ratio (cinema style) for the first time and we’re pretty happy with the results. We are on the eve of wedding season insanity. Excited for what lies ahead.

Eight years ago, this lovely couple got married and started their amazing family. Now a family of 6, the couple decided to renew their vows in an intimate ceremony among friends and family at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. Most couples wait many years to renew their vows, but there was something special about the freshness of the couple’s ceremony and their love that was so evident. The ceremony The March vow renewal was followed by a beautiful dinner reception at Postino restaurant in Lafayette. Hopefully they do something like this every 8 years so we can be a part of it!

Thomas and Addie were married in beautiful Monterey, in late September. Thomas, a police officer, shared his handwritten vows with lovely Addie in a beautiful Monterey courtyard. The couple was treated to one of the funniest best man speeches we’ve heard in a long time and they were fortunate to spend the day getting ready and celebrating at the beautiful Pasadera Country Club. This wedding video is one of our favorites from this season. Thomas and Addie are the best!

Aerial Videography Highlights

In the Spring of 2014, we purchased a DJI Phantom 2 and have since incorporated it into most of the videos we produce. Needless to say it has added a unique element to our wedding and corporate videos and has become a staple feature for our clients. One of the producers we often work with asked us to put together some highlights from this year.

McNally Wedding Movie

This wedding was a dream to shoot, for a number of reasons. Not only did Aaron and Lynsie (who are fantastic people, by the way) get married in the beautiful Carmel Valley, I was finally able to incorporate the Oakland A’s (the couple’s, and my, favorite baseball team) into a wedding video. The McNallys were married at the Carmel Valley Ranch on June 21 in front of an intimate group of their family and friends. The couple met while working at Starbucks, which is fitting because their wedding was cozier than a vanilla latte and sweeter than a mocha frappuccino.
