No, this isn’t an episode of Friday night lights. It’s the real life love story of Danny and Lanni Jones. Danny, a varsity football coach and teacher at a local high school married the love of his life, Lanni, who also happens to be a teacher, at Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin. We’re pretty sure the two of them had smiles on their faces from the beginning of the day until their bubble exit. Danny said the wedding was the best football play he had ever drawn up, and we can’t help but agree.

Devin and Nicole were meant for each other and it was one of those things we picked up on right away. On June 25, 2016 the couple tied the night at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. From the pre-wedding antics with the guys, to the laid back atmosphere with the girls, this ended up being one of those weddings we’d like to live over and over again. Luckily, with this wedding film, we can go back in time whenever we would like!

11 and 13. That’s how old Stephen and Megan were when they started “going out.” Fast forward 15 years and the couple tied the night at Ruby Hill among a lively gathering of family and friends. Many aspects of the day stood out, but the surprise dance Stephen and his roughly 100 groomsmen performed at the reception may have been the highlight. As Megan said in her vows, love is a struggle and it’s a matter of choosing who you are going to struggle with. I think the two of them chose wisely. We had a lot of fun with the Eguilos family.

Saratoga Springs is the perfect blend of fun and beauty, which is also a pretty apt description of Michael and Lisa. On May 29, the Liens tied the knot among the picturesque trees and a creeks of Saratoga. Prior to their sparkler exit, the couple (along with their friends and family) danced the night away under a canopy of lights. Weddings don’t get much better than this.

We’ve been to a lot of weddings and we can honestly say that Billy and Laura’s dance party was among the best we have seen. Our first wedding of 2016 (1.22.16) set the bar pretty high. Laura, an event florist, and Billy, a debonaire gentlemen, threw a party that would make Gatsby proud. Here’s to hoping that the rest of 2016 is as beautiful and joyous as it began.

There’s something special about filming the final wedding of a given season. Areta and Joe’s Casa Real wedding was the 25th wedding of our season and we went out on a high note. I love fall weddings and the Flores nuptials were no exception. The shot of the couple standing among the red, orange, and green vineyards is probably one of my favorite’s from the season. It has been a great year of weddings and the Flores’ beautiful November ceremony is near the top of the list.

Ben and Annie are pretty great. With some couples, you have to crack jokes to loosen the mood and make them smile, but that wasn’t the case with the Easton’s. They were smiling from the moment we met them. Everything came together so well on November 7 in San Diego. From the perfect Southern California weather to the boat race happening outside the wedding venue, the stage was set for a picture perfect (or video perfect…see what I did there?) wedding. The couple is from the Los Angeles area but they chose to have a San Diego wedding at the Kona Kai Resort because of the special significance it holds for the couple. To be honest, you would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful setting. Did we mention the couple arrived at their reception on a sailboat? You should probably watch their video.

In terms of the weddings we have shot in 2015, this one is pretty unique. You see, the groom (Tyler) happens to be my wife’s little brother and I have known him since he was 5 years old. I’ve watched him grow up and had a front-row seat as Tyler and Brittany began dating and moved toward marriage. Technically, as a groomsmen, I also had a pretty good vantage point at their wedding as well. It is always fun putting someone’s wedding video together, but there is something extra special when you know all of the guests at the wedding, your kids are the flower girl and ring bearer, and the bride and groom are family. October 24 will always stand out as a special day for our family and I hope that this video will help commemorate such an amazing event.

There’s something pretty magical about St. Mary’s. Whether it’s the location at the base of the Moraga hills, which always seem to have these perfectly fluffy clouds resting on them or the gorgeous architecture of the campus’ church building, this place is pretty much the best. Brent and Gina (a St. Mary’s grad), picked a perfect October day to tie the knot among a festival gathering of family and friends. Gina let us know that her guests would be ready to dance at the reception and she was correct. It was a party.

You know those weddings that you see in the movies? The ones where the bride dresses like a princess, wears glass slippers, and arrives at her ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage? You know those fairytale movies where the couple gets married on the cliffs overlooking the ocean? Turns out, this happens in real life as well. On October 4, David and Sandy made their love official in front of friends and family at the beautiful Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay. It was a day steeped in tradition and rich in love. It was also pretty dang pretty.
