“A new day will come, and when the sun shines it’ll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why.” – Samwise Gamgee, “Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers”

Ok, we didn’t go to the shire to film the Catbagan’s wedding and Frodo Baggins wasn’t technically at the wedding, but JRR Tolkien would have been proud nevertheless. Samwise’s words (which were read by one of the groomsmen during the ceremony) held true throughout the day: “There is some good in the world…and it’s worth fighting for.” Chad and Priscilla’s Half Moon Bay wedding was a pretty special day and served as an important reminder that there is much good (and love) in this world.

July 16 was a pretty special day. David and Pojai tied the knot at Picchetti Winery among an intimate gathering of family and friends. The day was filled with romance, happy tears, kettle corn and sparklers. If you ask us, those are 4 ingredients for the perfect day.

There are many essential elements to a wedding: a couple in love, guests, flowers, rings, etc. We realized that having a mariachi band at your wedding ceremony and reception should also be on everyone’s “wedding essentials” list. Ed and Felisa’s elegant July wedding featured a little bit of everything. From having the most lavish flower arrangements we have ever seen, to providing froyo as guests left the ceremony and mariachi music at every turn (did we mention how much we loved the mariachi?), the Garcia’s sure knew how to throw a party. Wine and Roses provided the setting and the Garcia’s brought the party. We are just glad we were invited!

No, this isn’t an episode of Friday night lights. It’s the real life love story of Danny and Lanni Jones. Danny, a varsity football coach and teacher at a local high school married the love of his life, Lanni, who also happens to be a teacher, at Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin. We’re pretty sure the two of them had smiles on their faces from the beginning of the day until their bubble exit. Danny said the wedding was the best football play he had ever drawn up, and we can’t help but agree.

Devin and Nicole were meant for each other and it was one of those things we picked up on right away. On June 25, 2016 the couple tied the night at Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. From the pre-wedding antics with the guys, to the laid back atmosphere with the girls, this ended up being one of those weddings we’d like to live over and over again. Luckily, with this wedding film, we can go back in time whenever we would like!

11 and 13. That’s how old Stephen and Megan were when they started “going out.” Fast forward 15 years and the couple tied the night at Ruby Hill among a lively gathering of family and friends. Many aspects of the day stood out, but the surprise dance Stephen and his roughly 100 groomsmen performed at the reception may have been the highlight. As Megan said in her vows, love is a struggle and it’s a matter of choosing who you are going to struggle with. I think the two of them chose wisely. We had a lot of fun with the Eguilos family.

Saratoga Springs is the perfect blend of fun and beauty, which is also a pretty apt description of Michael and Lisa. On May 29, the Liens tied the knot among the picturesque trees and a creeks of Saratoga. Prior to their sparkler exit, the couple (along with their friends and family) danced the night away under a canopy of lights. Weddings don’t get much better than this.

Words like “nice” and “kind” get thrown around a lot when describing folks and it’s easy to see why; there are a lot of nice people in this world. That being said, I think I can honestly say that Adam and Sunee are two of the nicest people we’ve ever worked with. They just exude kindness. Adam is a former Video Production student of mine and we have spent bunch of time together shooting weddings over the years. I always wondered about the girl he would end up with, because she would have to be pretty special to get a dude like him and he found his perfect match in Sunee. With San Francisco’s Marin Headlands providing the backdrop, the Hillyer’s began the next chapter in the love story and we were lucky to be a part of it.

Andy and Betsy’s combined everything we love about a wedding: a beautiful setting (you can’t beat Monterey), fun vendors, a hilarious emcee, a crowded dance floor, and a couple that is madly in love with each other. Andy and Betsy were smiling from sunrise until sunset and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Nicklaus Club is among our favorite places to film and the A’Neals are easily among our favorite couples we have worked with. March 26 was the best.

It’s not often that we get to spend an entire 48 hours with a couple, but Corbin and Courtney’s wedding featured more love and fun than one could possibly pack into 24 hours. The weekend began with a cruise around the San Francisco Bay and ended in the heart of the city itself at the Fairmont Hotel. Corbin, a professional football player, and Courtney, a business owner and former professional soccer player, are some of the nicest people (let alone couples) we have ever met. From the Grace Cathedral to the Fairmont Hotel, the Louks’ wedding featured some of the most beautiful buildings (and people) the city has to offer. Honestly, we could have easily spent another 48 hours following Corbin and Courtney, but at a certain point I think it becomes stalking. And while there is a fine line between stalker and friend, we look forward to hanging out with Corbin and Courtney again soon. In the meantime, you’ll have to excuse us while we relive those incredible 48 hours through this video.
