Livermore Valley’s wine country is really underrated, when it comes to wedding locales. Luckily the Wierdas know about the East Bay’s best kept secret and made Martinelli Event Center their location of choice for their September 19 nuptials. Andy and Stefanie enjoyed the beautiful scenery among family and friends on this warm later summer afternoon. From the lovely outdoor ceremony to dancing in the courtyard under the stars, their wedding was one to remember.

Matt Pine likes the outdoors. He hunts, has outdoorsy facial hair, and is the type of guy you would want to be with in of those “end of the world” scenarios. Having said that, Kirsten can more than hold her own. On August 2, with Kirsten’s grandpa officiating, the couple shared their vows in front of their closest family and friends. Their marriage is sure to have a lot of laughs, love and adventure.

Haiti

2 years ago today a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti. Prior to the disaster Haiti was the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. There is no telling how far the country has fallen since the quake, but the facts are quite sobering. Haiti is still a country in need. I had the opportunity to travel to Haiti a few weeks after the earthquake. The video I made can be seen at the top of this post (here is a link to a shorter version of my video).  There is also a powerful slideshow at this link.
